13 Initiates Hear General Treasurer Weber At Banquet

Brother Ford R, Weber, General Treasurer of Beta Theta Pi, was in attendance February 11, 1956, when 13 men joined Theta’s ranks. Following the initiation the annual initiation banquet was held at the chapter house. Approximately fifty alumni returned for the occasion.

Brother Weber arrived in Delaware in time to sit in on the Shepard son Quiz. Immediately following he quiz, the proceeding moved to the old chapter hall which is now the Elk’s Home. After the initiation alumni, old actives, and new initiates returned to the chapter house for the banquet.

Following the dinner the main address the day was given by Treasurer Weber. Brother Weber spoke of the financial situation of Beta Theta Pi and then discussed how every brother could better Beta and himself.

After the banquet brother Weber saw the basketball game between Ohio Wesleyan and his alma mater-Denison. It was a good evening for Denison defeated the Battling Bishops.
