Driving around Delaware the other day, what should I come across but the old Beta House at 54 W. Lincoln and it is now up for sale. Having been a nursing home for most all the years since we moved out (circa 1963), its hard to tell what kind of shape it remains in. Nevertheless, curiosity got to me so I called the realty and obtained the following info: 9,249 sq. ft. for sale at $950,000! Wow, I’ll
bet that is a huge number compared to where we were back in the 60’s. Can you imagine the taxes and utilities, not to mention the maintenance required? Anybody interested? You would have to pay me a significant amount of money to take it due to the cost of repairs, etc.
