From Alsa King Cotner … Dear Tom, Bob and I were so sorry to get your news about Ann. We hope her recovery will go more quickly than you’ve been told. The news about Jim Davies and Dick DeVos was also distressing but they seem to be doing pretty well. We appreciate your keeping us informed.
Just this weekend I received the ’56 Reunion (their 50th) mailing—you sure have a full plate!! You have a good group working with you so hopefully you won’t get too worn out. I hope I’ll be able to come but have to see how Bob is. He will have his sixth “body part” replacement surgery Nov. 16th when he gets his right shoulder joint replaced. I see the effect all this anaesthesia has had on him so am concerned a lot about this one. We are taking a long look at moving to a threetier retirement community in eastern PA near my family home and one of our sons. Staring down 2 category 5 hurricanes this summer has given us pause about staying on the coast when we are really old and decrepit.
All our best wishes and prayers are with you and Ann,Bob and Alsa Later … 12-13-05 … Not much news other than I recently attended the 50th anniversary of my Air Force pilot graduation — Class 56D—in Colorado Springs. Following that, I had a shoulder eplacement surgery in Houston, and I am recovering nicely.
