In a hotly contested race, Robert W. Brentlinger, Beta junior from Lima, defeated Phi Gam Bruce McKinnon for the of  fice of Athletic Representative last spring. One of the few candidates of the “United for Service” party to be elected, Brent- linger won by a vote of 806 • 429 and carried all four classes by a large majority.

Since then, he has be  come one of the most prominent men on the campus. A business administration major, he is a member of the Freshman Bible Club, a district chairman of the Century Club, and member of the “NV” Clan. His main efforts are directed toward the-sports field, where he has already earned three fresh  man numerals and six varsity letters in football, basketball, track, and tennis.

“Brent”, as he is known to his fraternity brothers, has been very active in chapter affairs. He has held several offices, in-chiding vice-president, and is at present guiding Theta Chapter as its chief executive officer. He is a member of the Army Enlisted Reserve Corps.
