CLEVELAND ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP WINNER

Announced in the latest issue of The Beta Theta Pi Magazine was the awarding of the 1995 Founders Fond Scholarship awards, including the Cleveland Alumni Scholarship award to Brian Hill ’96. Each year, hundreds of Beta undergraduates apply for Founders Fund scholarships, which are made possible by alumni gifts to the Beta Leadership Fund. Initiated by the Trustees in I 949‘ the program honors and financially assist Beta and Beta sons and daughters who have excelled in academics, service and school involvement. The program has expanded dramatically and includes awards ranging from $500 to .$1,500. It was further noted that £87,000 in academic scholarships were awarded to 94 collegians in 1995. Brian D. Hills ’96 was cited for his service as chapter treasurer, alumni chair and pledge trainer. His significant academic achievements include five semesters on the dean’s list, IFC award for academic excellence, and Pi Phi Honorary Society. In addition, Brian was recognized for service to the following organizations: founding member of Delta Pi Alpha German honor society, Habitat for I Humanity, the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association.
