The Dawson Ring was presented this year to Dale Denny, a sophomore from Columbus. The ring will remain in Dale’s possession until he presents it to his successor at next year’s Homecoming banquet.
The Dawson ring, which belonged to former National President of Beta Theta Pi, Colonel William Warren Dawson, Theta ’14, is presented annually to the sophomore who excelled in all phases of Beta life during his freshman year. Kale, who did a good job scholastically, was OWU’s outstanding varsity pitcher during his first season, being credited with four of the team’s five victories. He also played intramural football until he was sidelined by an injury.
Theta Chapter is sure that Dale Danny will continue to be as great am asset during his remaining two-and-a-half years as he was during his first year.
