Col. Francis T. Evan, ’08, of the United States Marine Corps, is a pioneer Marine airman. He is one of the best-known and most experienced Marine Corps flyers.
Col. Evans began his flying during World War 1, and was the first man in the world to develop the weapon which has proved so effective in this war, the dive-bombing attack.
At last report, he was stationed at Norfolk. Va.. at the Marine Barracks of the Naval Operating Base.
