Hyde’s Retirement A Social Affair

William H. Hyde ’22 was a physician in the general practice of medicine in Nelsonville, Ohio from 1925 until August, 1973, at which time he retired and moved to California.

“Cow” writes, “I graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 1924. While there I belonged to Nu Sigma Nu Medical Fraternity. My internship was done at Mt. Sinai Hospital of Cleveland. Over a period of years, I have met and known many Betas in the Hocking Valley, around Nelsonville, Athens, and Columbus. Since coming to California I have contacted Jack Sinkey and Fred Cubbage. I recently had the pleasure of having dinner with Judson Sayre at the Balboa Club, Newport Beach and also have kept in close contact with Jim Preston who is a professor of physiology at the Medical School.

“I belong to the Scottish Rite and Aladdin Temple of the Shrine in Columbus. My only club affiliation in Palos Verdes is the Breakfast Club. I had one nephew, Dr. William Somerville, member of Theta Chapter, who practiced internal medicine in Philadelphia for several years. He passed away about six years ago.”

“Cow” and his wife, Marjorie, live at 2601 Via Ramon, Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.
