Turned 80 this year, feel like 60, and act 40! Someday I will grow up. So long as we can get around, we want to stay around. Your readers should know that my time as a Beta was “as good as it gets”, and passing the Loving Cup memories are good therapy for these “ol” bones. Summer time found us in Western NC visiting Biltmore Estates (see pic) and flying to Calgary to drive thru Banff, Lake Louise, Edmonton and the Canadian Rockies. This country is so beautiful! Jerry (#903) and Jan Staley moved to “The Villages” this past year to be with friends from Findlay. We are thankful we were able to see so many Theta Beta’s at the General Reunion in June, 2002, at Oxford. While a Beta chapter is not on OWU campus any longer, the Fraternity did more for me than the University. In my opinion OWU was the loser, when they closed up 100 years of Beta tradition. “Long live the diamond and bright shining stars.”
