The biggest job around the Beta House, and the most thankless of tasks, is that of keeping the house clean. For the last nine years, Mrs. 0. D. McClain has had that responsibility, and she has done a fine job. “Mrs. Mac” arrives early every morning and starts in to clean up the mess that the fellows have left from the day before. Sometimes she gets into arguments, but her exceedingly good nature keeps her going.
In spite of all the razzing and kidding they give her, the boys appreciate her ef forts and her unswerving loyalty. No matter how much of a mess they have made, Mrs. Mac cleans it up, for she takes as much pride in keeping the house immaculate as she does her own home.
