In a letter dated October 7,1996,to house corporation president William rowland’68, Andries Duarate’65 sends photographs and writes in part:

“this past weekend , I had the honour and pleasure of attending a trustees meeting at OWU, and sharing some time with George Conrades and Hal Fausnaugh’48, both brothers that i had know from previous OWU and BOII encounters of many years past. We three made it a point to visit the house and had a very god and constructive dialogue with your current president, Michael Dowgiewiez’98. We spent little time at the house , and although I would have preferred to spend some time with a larger group of brothers and ask a bit about what was happening in general. I did come away quite impressed with the certitude and sincerity of Michael’s comments regarding the general ambience at the school and the fraternity life..

I would have linked to have seen some of the improvements made on house with the donations that some of us have sent, but time was short, and our visit was a surprise to all….. even ourselves…..!

Please receives my sincere congratulations for keeping the chapter alive and for the good work that is now being evidenced. I believe that with three members of the board helping (and four if you count President Courtice), the chapter has a strong say on this board…..

I read in the last Theta Data about the Dove family, I have a photo of Clark Dove(class of’64) together with Al Pratt (same class) which I am enclosing. Maybe you will find some space to publish it. Also, a photo of myself sitting out a very busy evening in the middle of rush week,1961. You will notice that I am leaning against the wall in the basement, but sitting on a cake of ice….very appropriate for a new trustee at the school where hazing is such a big issue now!!
