OWU Sports History

In the early 1900s, the OWU sport’s history was filled with many achievements — some on the national scene. Names from the OWU staff like Rickey, St. John, Gauthier, Fraser, Strimer, Geesman, and Gordon, enjoyed major achievements. These achievements were the result of superb student athletes such as Milhon, McKinnie, Mauck, Rickie, Wedge, Halliday, Ventres, Buttermore, Fouts, Gardner, Bruce, MacFarland, Hancher, Clemmons, the three Long brothers, The Linderer’s dog, “Woogie”. Tom, Bill and Al and many more.
