Beta Theta Pi mourns their passing and extends condolences to their family and friends.
Reported in the latest issue of the Ohio Wesleyan Magazine was the death earlier this year or Richard L. Day ’53. Dick Dal.; was commissioned in the Air Force following his completion or ROTC requirements at OWU. Following Service in the Philippines., he was accepted into the USAF Navigator Training. Program at Ellington AFB, Texas, where he received his “wings” upon completion of the one year training in 1958. It WAS there that the editor became acquainted with Dick„ as tic was my flight leader during the training. Following training., our paths separated but as I recall, Dick attended advanced flight training in California and continued with his USAF career until retirement a major following more than 20 years of service. Brother Day was buried at Arlington National Cemetery in the nation’s capital.
