Theta back in top form

As we near the end of fall term, it can be said with confidence that the Theta Chapter is now back in top form.

The brothers had a very active term socially and the success of Our rush program reflects this. We currently have the second largest pledge class here on campus. We expect five more freshmen during the winter term thus bringing our total to 30 pledges. This is the largest pledge class of the last three years.

Our semi-annual car wash was held recently and the profits were turned over to the Delaware Heart Fund. Also, in the basic stages of planning, is a field trip with underprivileged children.

Intramural athletics have just ended and saw Beta frustrated in its attempts for championships in football and soc-cer. Soccer was eliminated in a tough 2-1 double overtime loss in the quarter finals. Football was eliminated in the semi-finals.

Individually many Betas have ex-celled academically and, even though the official numbers arc not computed yet, I expect the overall house CPA to go up.

Overall, I’m impressed with the house’s performance during the term and I would especially like to thank all the alumni who were here on alumni weekend.

Yours in -Kai-
