Theta Chapter House Corps Commits Historical Pins to Hq Archives For Permanent Display

In the 2007 issue of Theta Data, among the articles on the history of the Beta Pin, you may recall that three of our generous alumni committed family or friend’s pins to the permanent care of the House Corps. In turn, the donors all agreed to have those beautiful pins to be placed on permanent display in the National Administrative Museum in Oxford, Ohio.

As a result, these pins were placed in the trust of the HQ Archivist, Eric Eickhoff (OWU ‘00), who has placed them on display as pictured below:

As displayed below, the three pins and their donors are:

1. The Lorenzo Dow McCabe Pin

Gift of Annie Grinton Kisseberth’s (Kappa Alpha Theta’54) family [Paul Kisseberth ‘54].

2. The William Alfred Baldwin Pin

This pin passed through the temporary keeping of Morris Hollenbaugh ’49, “Skip” Cheseldine ’48 and Thomas Farahay ’48 and was generously given to the House Corps in 2006 and thereafter to the Oxford Offices.

3. The Pin Believed to Belong to Chester Baugn

This pin was sent from brother Ned Speasmaker ’50 to brother “Skip” Cheseldine and in turn to the editor for safekeeping and an appropriate resting place.

NOTE: See Theta Data issue January 2007 at our website, thetachapterbtp.org for complete information on the history of these and other Beta pins.
