The\u00a0chapter\u2019s review panel and The General Convention as a whole voted\u00a0to elevate the status from Under Reorganization to Suspension.\u00a0This elevation in status recognizes the significant progress the chapter\u00a0has made over this past year. The chapter was commended for its\u00a0absence of risk management problems this past year and for maintaining an alcohol-free environment.<\/p>\n<p>Three criteria were set for the chapter to seek further status\u00a0improvement to Probation on January 1, 2001:<\/p>\n<p>1. All required paperwork must be submitted to the General Fraternity on time.<br \/>\n2. The chapter must continue to maintain its Alcohol-Free Housing Environment.<br \/>\n3. The chapter must achieve and maintain a 2.5 GPA for the Fall 2000 semester.<\/p>\n<p>After the House Company meeting on August 27, the active chapter met with the House\u00a0Company advisers to brainstorm for the coming year. The chapter as a whole developed the\u00a0following prioritized list of improvement areas:<\/p>\n<p>1. Academics<br \/>\n2. Involvement\/Communication\/Commitment\/Follow-through<br \/>\n3. Membership\/Rush<br \/>\n4. Image<br \/>\n5. House Appearance<\/p>\n<p>For each of these areas, we developed a list of possible actions and corrections that would\u00a0lead the chapter toward the desired goal. The chapter then retired to the chapter hall to\u00a0develop more concrete action plans.
