The Beta house at Ohio Wesleyan\u00a0University had, within the past\u00a0month, their elections for the offices\u00a0to be filled for this Spring term and\u00a0fall and winter of the next academic\u00a0year.<\/p>\n
Lee Silvas, a sophomore, good\u00a0organizer and intelligent leader, was\u00a0voted in for the position of president.\u00a0Backing up Lee during his term in\u00a0office is Thomas Albrecht who had\u00a0formerly filied the positon of social\u00a0chairman. Tom takes a real interest\u00a0and concern for the house and will\u00a0surely be a great asset to Lee’s administration.\u00a0Filling Tom’s old\u00a0position as social chairman is Ron\u00a0Lee a junior and excellent critic of\u00a0rock groups. David McCreade will be\u00a0handling the money for the house as\u00a0Treasurer but will not be able to fulfill\u00a0his obligation of a full year of service\u00a0due to his decision to study overseas\u00a0starting in the Fall. The house, as of this time, has not elected a\u00a0replacement for Dave for this coming\u00a0Fall andWinter terms. The pledges of\u00a0next year’s class will be greeted in the\u00a0Fall by the new co-rush chairmen \u00a0Brian Welsh and James Ries. Brian is\u00a0a sophomore so he has some experience\u00a0with getting perspective\u00a0pledgesup to the house. Jim is just an\u00a0all around nice guy and will make a\u00a0very good first impression for the\u00a0house.<\/p>\n
With the arrival of these new officers\u00a0in the Beta house, the tradition\u00a0left by Richard Pope and Randolf\u00a0Houlas of superb organization and\u00a0leadership will surely be upheld.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
