This report marks the end of a very\u00a0successful year at the Theta Chapter\u00a0of Beta Theta Pi. With the help of our\u00a017 new initiates many improvements\u00a0have been made on the house. The\u00a0T.V. room was paneled and a new 25″\u00a0Zenith color T.V. was purchased.<\/p>\n
This year has also seen the construction\u00a0of the long awaited patio on\u00a0the rear of the house. This was due\u00a0mainly to the hard work of house\u00a0manager Dave Mack ’26.<\/p>\n
The Daughters of the Dragon have\u00a0finally become an active part of the\u00a0house. We recently initiated 18 new\u00a0girls and are looking forward to their\u00a0help in rush next year. The Daughters\u00a0were a real asset during our service\u00a0project this year also. We were able to\u00a0donate $300 to Bellepoint School for\u00a0the Mentally Retarded.<\/p>\n
The Theta House Company has\u00a0decided to reorganize and become\u00a0involved with the chapter once again.\u00a0They had a\u00a0re-organizational\u00a0meeting\u00a0late Spring term and are looking for\u00a0Alums who are willing to help.\u00a0Remember\u00a0all Alumni are\u00a0automatically riembers of the house\u00a0company. Get in touch with Thomas\u00a0Abernathy (’61) if you are interested\u00a0in helping out.<\/p>\n
Plans for Homecoming next year\u00a0(Oct 12) are already started. A luncheon,\u00a0dinner, and cocktail party are\u00a0being organized, so plan on attending.\u00a0More details on this will follow over\u00a0the summer.<\/p>\n
The close of this year finds the\u00a0Theta Beta’s financially sound. After\u00a0the many improvements and additions\u00a0made to the house this year I’m proud to say there is still a little\u00a0left over to start rush next fall on the\u00a0right foot.<\/p>\n
We’ll be looking forward to seeing\u00a0you at Homecoming next fall.<\/p>\n
