Francis T. Evan, &#8217;08, of the United States Marine Corps, is a pioneer Marine airman. He is one of the best-known and most experienced Marine Corps flyers.<\/p>\n<p>Col. Evans began his flying during World War 1, and was the first man in the world to develop the weapon which has proved so effective in this war, the dive-bombing attack.<\/p>\n<p>At last report, he was stationed at Nor\u00adfolk.
