A new plan for getting the alumni addresses up-to-date has been worked out and\u00a0is now ready to be announced to them. It is a very simple plan, just about the same\u00a0as another, especially since it rests on individual initiative.<\/p>\n
New cards have been typed out for each\u00a0man on the chapter rolls as far back as\u00a01890. These cards contain the name, roll\u00a0number, date of initiation, address at initiation, occupation, and the last known address. There is plenty of room for changes\u00a0of address.<\/p>\n
The plan is for each alumni, as soon as\u00a0he reads this article, to sit down and address a penny postcard to Beta Theta Pi,\u00a0Delaware, Ohio, with the above information written on it. Then after that, when\u00a0ever he changes his address, to mail an \u00a0other postcard to the same address with his\u00a0new address on it. That is all there is to\u00a0it.<\/p>\n
A special file of alumni in the service is\u00a0also being kept, and anyone who is in the\u00a0service, or knows some Theta alumni in
\nthe service, is requested to send in that\u00a0person’s address, both service and permanent. In this way, the chapter can be made\u00a0a clearing house for Beta’s addresses. Also,\u00a0we will be able to keep our Roll of Honor\u00a0correct.<\/p>\n
The reason for this campaign for addresses is that in the last few years, the\u00a0alumni have not let the chapter know of\u00a0their changes of address Consequently,\u00a0we only have around 150 addresses which\u00a0are correct.<\/p>\n
This clearing house plan will be taken\u00a0cute of by Mrs. Robert Watson, who is as\u00a0much a Beta as her husband. Since she is\u00a0always on the spot in Delaware, she will\u00a0be able to insure its\u00a0permanence\u00a0through \u00a0out the war.<\/p>\n
Don’t forget, all that is needed is a\u00a0penny-postcard with your correct address\u00a0and the rest of the information mailed\u00a0to Beta Theta Pi, Delaware, Ohio.<\/p>\n
