Somerville"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the men Theta Chapter is deeply indebted to is Dean\u00a0Joseph J. Somerville, De Pauw, &#8217;12, the &#8220;Father Flanigan of Ohio Wesleyan&#8217;s Boy&#8217;s Town&#8221;. His sage advice and fatherly counsel have helped\u00a0the chapter, both as a group and as individuals, over many of the rough milestones of college life.<\/p>\n<p>To those who do not know the Dean, it might seem that the Betas\u00a0have an unfair advantage over the other fraternities in having the Dean of Men as their faculty advisor. However, everyone has found that the\u00a0Dean &#8220;leans over backwards&#8221; to be impartial in all fraternity matters.\u00a0Although he is not a member of this chapter, Dean Somerville has\u00a0been one of its most loyal supporters. He can always find time to drop\u00a0up to the house to see how the chapter is getting along.
