One of the reasons for Mrs. Hein \u00a0len&#8217;s enthusiastic support is her son, John,\u00a0who was a member of the chapter in the\u00a0class of &#8217;37.<\/p>\n<p>She was affectionately known to the boys\u00a0as &#8220;Gert&#8221;, and her jolly personality made\u00a0the kitchen the brightest spot in the house. As the army continued to call the boys\u00a0out of school, it became apparent that a\u00a0combination of fraternities for eating purposes would be necessary, or else close the\u00a0kitchens, and so the Betas combined with\u00a0the A.T,O.s and the Chi Phis.\u00a0Gert left us in March, after many years\u00a0of loyal service.
