Howard -Bud” Anderson, Cleveland\u00a0junior, entered school as a freshman\u00a0with the class of 1944. In the three\u00a0years Bud has been here, he has\u00a0shown himself a worthy friend and loyal\u00a0Beta. His best efforts have been for the\u00a0fraternity. And he has sometimes shown more interest in his duties about the chapter than he has in his college studies.<\/p>\n
Bud was appointed to a position on the\u00a0social committee his freshman year, and\u00a0showed his abilities in the assistance he\u00a0rendered during that spring. The follow \u00a0ing year, he served as social chairman and\u00a0recorder, and took minutes efficiently and\u00a0neatly, and took charge of the Miami Triad\u00a0and the annual Spring Formal. Then this\u00a0year, his Business Ad major stood him in\u00a0good stead when he was asked to guide\u00a0the finances of the Chapter as Treasurer.\u00a0Hardly had he gotten this headache run \u00a0ning smoothly before he assumed the duties\u00a0of General Treasurer for the Fraternity\u00a0Dining Service which only added to his\u00a0responsibilities. Bud’s mania for organization and efficiency supported him during\u00a0the first trying days of the cooperative\u00a0experiment, and the Chapter and Dining\u00a0Service have gone without a hitch.<\/p>\n
During his Freshman year, Bud landed\u00a0a berth on the business staff of the Tran \u00a0script, Ohio Wesleyan’s weekly, and advanced from position to position until he\u00a0now holds the reins over the advertisers\u00a0once again he has the headache of collecting\u00a0and paying bills as Advertising Manager.<\/p>\n
But all his talents don’t run to books\u00a0and figures, for he finds time to play the\u00a0Sousaphone in the Ohio Wesleyan Marching and Concert Bands. At the end of his \u00a0sophomore year he marched out of band\u00a0wearing a red sweater with black numerals.<\/p>\n
His sophomore year, he was made a member of the university calendar committee.<\/p>\n
Under the name of “Muscles”, and\u00a0“Sleepy”, he earned a reputation for sleeping more than any other man in the house.\u00a0He also manages to aparently get “A’s” in\u00a0courses which to all appearances he has\u00a0been flunking, if one is to judge bluebooks or finals. No one has yet discovered the\u00a0secret of his success on this score.<\/p>\n
